South Bay, originally Bonita, is one of the original Auxiliary units formed in 1953 made up of a diverse group that includes working professionals, homemakers and volunteers enjoying retirement. In addition to hailing mainly from the South Bay area, most members have personal experience with Rady Children’s, helping them feel a sense of ownership and pride with their fundraising efforts. Unit meetings are hosted on the fourth Tuesday evening of each month at a member’s home and their main event features an exquisite luncheon boasting the largest silent auction across the Auxiliary!
