Founded 1994
The Carmel Valley Unit is a group of energized and motivated women from all over North County dedicated to supporting the mission of Rady Children’s Hospital. Members gather on the third Thursday morning of each month at a private home and through fundraising activities both small and large, the Unit has raised over $4 million to support various areas of the Hospital, including Speech & Hearing, Emergency Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, and the Autism Discovery Institute. They are amply rewarded in knowing that their efforts, in some small way, have contributed to the Hospital’s success. Along the way members seek to enjoy a great deal of fun and develop wonderful, lasting friendships.
