The Poway Unit formed in 1994 with members living in Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Scripps Ranch, Carlsbad and Escondido. Our mission is to fundraise and advocate for Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Each year we collect new clothing items for patients and families who arrive at the Emergency Department with only the clothes they’re wearing. We also prepare brown bags containing non-perishable food and drinks for patient families who unexpectedly find themselves staying at the hospital. Our main fundraiser “Tabletops and Tea,” occurs in the Spring each year. We meet the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at The Heights Country Club. Our meeting schedule is ideal for busy women who are looking for ways to support Rady Children’s. We look forward to welcoming new members.
