Rady Children’s Padres Spring Training Experience
Phoenix, Arizona
Friday, March 17 – Sunday, March 19
Mission of this experience: HAVE FUN! This is a weekend get away in Phoenix, Arizona designed for teens to bond with their peers, enjoy new experiences, and relax. While we have fun activities planned, there will also be free time at our luxurious hotel. We have an amazing group of teens and each will be paired with a roommate. Teens will be accompanied by RCHSD Peckham Center Chaperones and Dr. Jenny Kim.
Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation will cover all costs associated with this trip including flight booking, hotel stay, transportation, and meals.
To register for the trip, the following must be completed by Friday, Feb. 17.
Patient Packet:
Complete the 9-page Patient Packet and scan (or take pictures of) and email to mcampbell1@rchsd.org. The packet contains:
- Patient Profile Form
- Patient Medication Form
- Lunch Order Form
- Code of Conduct Policy Agreement
- Consent for Medical Treatment of Child Participant
- Waiver of Liability, and Assumption of Risk, Release and Indemnification Agreement
- Authorization for Use, Disclosure or Publication of Photographs and Video Recordings
Flights:
Rady Children’s has acquired a group reservation with Southwest Airlines for the following flights. Upon completion of the patient packet and closer to the trip, you will receive a flight confirmation by email through Cadence Travel.
Friday, March 17: Southwest Flight 3263
2:00 p.m. departure from San Diego International Airport
3:15 p.m. arrival at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
Sunday, March 19: Southwest Flight 1124
1:45 p.m. departure from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
3:00 p.m. arrival at San Diego International Airport

9:00 a.m. – Arrival at Rady Children’s (Main Entrance, 3020 Children’s Way)
10:30 a.m. – Press Conference
11:30 a.m. – Depart for San Diego Airport
2:00 p.m. – Southwest Flight 3263
3:15 p.m. – Arrive at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
4:10 p.m. – Arrive JW Marriot Desert Ridge and check-in
4:30 p.m. – Relax; Free time at hotel
6:30 p.m. – Dinner and Nighttime Pool Party
Saturday, March 18
10:00 a.m. – Breakfast at hotel
11:30 a.m. – Behind the Scenes at Spring Training with the Padres
12:30 p.m. – Lunch at Stadium
1:10 p.m. – Padres Game
6:30 p.m. – Dinner at Dave and Busters with Padres Players
Sunday, March 19
10:00 a.m. – Breakfast at hotel
11:00 a.m. – Check out
11:30 a.m. – Depart hotel for Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
1:45 p.m. – Southwest flight 1124
3:00 p.m. – Arrive at San Diego International Airport and bus back to hospital
3:30 p.m. – Arrive at Rady Children’s Main Entrance, all patients picked up
